Loetz started in 1907 naming special décors 'Ausfuehrung' (execution). Ausf-1 to Ausf-7 were made of clear 'Kristall' glass and most of them were décorated by horizontally and vertically spun clear glass threads. In Addition, Ausf-1,-3,-6,-7 and -12 have applied buttons with silver-yellow granulated glass. For more details please look into the loetz.com website. My Ausf-3 vase has PN=II/4811 (1907), stands 31.5 cm high and in the brass mount it measures impressive H=39.5 and D=12.5 cm.

Do those U-shaped metal pieces move? When I saw them, it occurred to me that if they were hinged, they would make excellent supports for large stems of flowers which extend outward from the vase.

      Hi Watchserver,
the mount is very solid, nothing moves. Whereas the style of Loetz vase still looks quite modern, the mount comprises a mixture of styles, beginning at the foot from 'Renaissance, over Early Victorian and Empire to Art Nouveau at the very top, a mixture expressing the taste at the change of the century.
Thank you and Vetraio5o, Sammyz and Ales for your kind comments.

Thanks for addressing my question....I kept scrutinizing the photos, trying to imagine how useful the u-shaped decor pieces would be if they could be placed horizontal rather than vertical whenever the vase held a huge bouquet. And that’s just my musing about huge bouquets I like to make when my roses burst into bloom every summer.
I go about the yard, cutting some of every type of rose I have- some with rigid stems and others with long draping stems. All together, they make beautiful big bouquets but, at times, I’ve wanted to support some branches of the draping ones.
Your fabulous vase just gave me an idea about how pliable branches of blossoms could be supported even tho yours is not intended to do that. Thank you so much.

Very surprised by mount, integrated perfectly even though looking at them side by sided I would never guess they do... could the mount have been made in the 50’s like by another designer? Beautiful

      Hi Jericho,
thank you for your interest, to my opinion the mount is especially made to fit the vase perfectly, from the mixture of styles it must be assigned to the time before WW I. To repeat this type of mount in the 50's would have been too much efford and therefor too expensive.
