These are recent ebay purchases. All small, in the 2-3 inch range. Boyd Crystal Art Glass recently became inactive, but their pieces can easily be found on ebay, etsy, etc. They are pretty inexpensive at this point. Probably a good place to start for someone who wants to begin collecting American figural art glass. No telling how long their pieces will be inexpensive and easy to find.
Boyd toad in shades of brown slag.
Boyd eagle in purple carnival glass
Boyd fox in green glass with semi-transparent edges
Boyd horse in orange and yellow slag with transparent edges

Great Boyd animals Kevin, I really like the carnival glass eagle & green fox
@Newfld - Thanks for your comment, Jenni! The fox is one of the harder to find Boyd pieces. I like the horse, less common than the Carousel Horse, as I don't recall ever seeing a piece of glass with both slag and transparent parts. I've probably just not been paying attention...
Thanks for loving my Boyd Glass animals!

Maybe horse could be called amberina slag glass?
This may sound like a stupid question, I won't know if I don't ask. Are these marked so a person knows if they are authentic?
@fhrjr2 - Not a stupid question. Boyd's molds have been dispersed to other makers who do not use Boyd's "B in a diamond" mark. I don't know if any of these are still being made by other makers. These are all marked with Boyd's mark. You can see the mark on the base of the horse. On the frog it is inside as it is hollow, on the eagle it is on the tail and on the fox it is on the chest. I didn't think these were fancy enough to do a post dedicated to each piece.
Thanks for loving my Boyd animals fhrjr2!
I appreciate the reply. Flea market season starts here in west Florida in November and runs through March. All the tourists come south and have stuff to sell cheap. I have a couple friends who collect this type glass item but tell me to be sure they are marked if I buy for them. They got addicted to the Tetley Tea ones and are expanding.
These are GREAT!! Nice Boyd collection!
@jscott0363 - Thanks!
