These belonged to my father who would be in his nineties if he were still with us. he was in the army stationed in Italy when he started collecting these. there are 2 humidors and a box with misc items for pipes and a couple pipe holders etc. I have no idea if they are worth anything but wanted opinions about them.Thank you for looking!
Great Collection!!!! Your father must have had a Lot of PIPE Dreams when he slept!!
My father smoked a pipe!!! I can still remember the sweet smell of Prince Albert!!
Stuff
Nice collection. This isn't the place to get values but if you need someone who knows, I have a cousin who makes custom hand made pipes and sells them all over the world. Last I knew he is also still collecting rare older pipes. He has a web site, facebook etc. and has been featured in many pipe makers and related magazines. He might be willing to have a look and advise you. I haven't seen him in years but still follow him and his business online.
Just noticed the Parodi cigar box. The were a hard cigar about 4 inches long. years I worked with a little Italian fellow that smoked them!!! Stink!!!! When he smoked it down to the stub he put it out and chewed what was left.
Stuff
stuff - Parodi & Palumbo were almost identical and I agree about the smell.
fhrjr2 - I liked CROOKS that wavy square shaped cigar. Not for the taste just the looks!!! We would break down and buy El Producto Queens in the glass tube!! 25 cents was a lot of money back in the early sixties!!!
Stuff
stuff - I still get cigars a couple times a year in glass tubes. But these are hand rolled in Cuba and brought home to me by my neighbor when they come back from visiting relatives. They have family in Cuba that do hand rolling so it is easy for them to get a supply.
Thanks for all the comments and the recommendation too. I enjoy reading all of them and yep I guess my dad did have pipe dreams!!! LOL
