Need some help identifying this dagger? Thank you! I’ve looked on many sites and no one has been able to give me much info, hopefully someone on here will recognize what I have?

Skinning knife Maybe
Looks like a type of Gurkha found in Nepal. They came in all sizes from small like this to as big as a large machete. Some curved upward some downward with different shaped blades from chopping to stabbing. Handles usually either wood or brass.
You might also check Kris knives which commonly had a handle like this and were made for self defense.
