Retsapper
(2 items)
I just found this item in my Dad's WWII keepsakes and have no idea what it might be. It appears to be made of a copper alloy and measures 1 3/4" X 1 1/4". Top portion is the US Seal and bottom is the Liberty Bell, while sides are of the US Flag with 13 stars. Would appreciate any information as to what this might be. Thanks
Welcome to CW should get some answers here
Very impressive military logo, nice post
It is not a military badge. It is patriotic-- could be WW2, but need to post a photo of the back in order to confirm.

Off hand I would say it is a war service lapel pin and not military. This type pin was worn by tradesmen that worked in occupations that supported the war effort. Perhaps a ship builder, heavy equipment manufacturing or even uniform makers.
I appreciate the responses. There is nothing on the back of the badge. He had several and they are all identical, nothing was ever on the reverse side.
I wasn't looking for a stamp or manufacturer mark-- I was looking to see the attachment device and construction, to aid in dating.

I thought the same scottvez but they seemed reluctant to post that side.
