"The Great Cod" Copper Mold (signed but Unknown)

This is a mold of some kind that is hand made and signed. The title is "The Great Cod".
I am not sure how old it is or what type of mold it might be. I just keep it hanging on the wall in our fish theme bathroom.
It measures about 13 1/2" long.
Trying to read the etched signature (to me) it looks like "M23" a Christian type fish and then "96"
The title is clear.
Could this mold be old 1886 or from 1996? Looking at the etching, it looks like an electric etching tool was used.
