I found this in a small antique shop not far from where I used to live, labelled as Loetz. It's highly glossy and gilded rather than enamelled. I'm not quite sure what I have here.
However thanks to jimtim (first comment) I've been able correct the title of this post!
Height 16.5 cm./6.5 inches
I have one with similar gold decoration, but different shape and I do believe it is Harrach. If you look at Kai's article on Loetz.com you will see he has one listed there also under the Harrach section with the same gold bubbles decoration.
Thank you, jimtim, I found the vases to which you refer and I'll change the title accordingly. I'm quite pleased actually...... it may be more of a rarity!
What a great find! The colour is beautiful - I don't know amaranth or crimson?
I'm afraid I'm no help with naming the colour, but I do like how the lines and streaks vary as you turn it around.
Beautiful! The gilt is in good condition on this one - it is so often very worn. It’s a lovely vase, sklo! :)
Thank you, Michelle, I miss you. Even this one isn't perfect. It's fat at the shoulder so instinctively you grab the neck to avoid dropping it....... and there goes the gilt!
That is just delicious glass!
Thank you, racer, fine until it comes to the photography part!
You did a great job with difficult glass :)
You always were kindness itself.
