Happy Halloween folks- in keeping with the (loose!) seasonal theme of Halloween this was the latest find in a visit to the charity shop- a little black cat/serval which I think is adorable! I took her because of it fitting in with other Egyptian items I own and also because I love all things cats and animal figurines.
I can't seem to work out what material she might be made from though, she's quiet heavy and very cool to touch and rather rough, so at a guess I might assume soapstone? There's also curious notches all over her which seem to show a paler greyness underneath and yet she doesn't seem to be painted so it really is a mystery as to what exactly she's made from, she's also not really in the popular Egyptian style of a cat which happens to be that bit sleeker I think but I still think she's rather unusual and strange- her ears are also round and she has an elongated body which I like to think makes her a SERVAL instead! :P

Beautiful black cat Lauren, I am definitely thinking a serval too which makes it all the more special, a really great find. Super post for Halloween, it's the time for black cats to shine, wishing you a Happy H day!
