This buckle measures about 3" x 2.25". My Uncle Fred was a captain of a fireman company in Columbus, Ohio from the 1930s-1960s. He died in 1967, I think. He gave this buckle to my grandmother and she gave it to me, probably in the early to mid 1960s. It is stamped brass and I am pretty sure it has never been worn on a belt. I have never polished or cleaned it, so I assume it has been lacquered. No maker's mark. Probably American made 1940s-1950s.
Thanks for loving my family heirloom belt buckle!
