As promised, here is my example of the same melon - ribbed, yellow frit vase by Welz that was posted by welzebub a few years back. From when I first saw this vase I wanted one of my own (even though I also have a huge vase in this decor).
I was thrilled to find one for a cheap price & it arrived today.
It is made from opaque yellow glass with an overlay of iridescent frit in a colour that is difficult to define. From some angles it appears bronze & others, slightly purplish. The texture is wonderful (I do enjoy the diverse tactile qualities of glass).
It measures 9.5 cm tall, 5.5 cm across the crimped top rim, & 5 cm across the base.
Delightfully petite, it is already a favourite!
These little pieces are wonderful examples of the diverse aesthetic that is found in Welz production. Congrats on getting this one. I think these examples are little treasures with large bold personalities.
Many thanks, welzebub, I'm so pleased to have this piece & look forward to finding more examples of this charming shape. I wonder if there is a pink frit version, too?
It is a great shape. They are found both with and without legs. I have not seen a pink frit version ...... yet.... I have seen the shape in about 16 or 18 different decors.
Some other decors on the shape. :-)

So many lovelies for my wish list! It's a cute shape in any decor...
Many thanks, renedijkstra, & hope you can find one too!
