Blitzglas is an outer covering of vertical glass threads, and it comes in a few different colors; in this case, crystal clear glass is used. These stick vases are embellished with "dunkelblauem rand", or applied dark blue glass rims, and each one has an applied hand-cut crystal glass base, with ground and polished pontils. These date to about 1907, and they are about 9 inches tall.
