I think it's Wm. H. Pearl and yes short for Indianapolis, but what they are? might also be some sort of thumb lever for opening paint cans, also thought might be some kind of hanger, not sure how it would be used. maybe a logging tag, just guessing! :^)

looks like maybe the H and W text is to be read with INDPLS; thus turned over as H (possibly R) and M INDPLS. The raised dot between the P and H is the point where text direction changes. Did see several "Pearl" tools at wrenchingnews but no match. Also thought possibly associated with Pearl cast iron stoves as a lifter or key of some sort...

Thank you guys for your help, I had tried doing some research by just googling a physical description of the items in all different types of ways, and the closest thing I could find about any of them is the mention of pearl street in Indy. Still some pretty need pieces I think. I have received countless items from my grandfather after he passsed away, I will make an effort to post more in the near future.

My guesses at first look...2nd pic is an old timey screen door 'holder closer' (as bobby suggests) and 4th pic is at least one 'paint can opener' -- 3rd pic looks more like an antiquish icebox/refrigerator door latch. Not sure what the pair of things in your 1st pic are, but they're interesting anyway -- hope somebody else might be able to help ID them...?? :-)
