Hi I have a watch called a Levison (swiss made) that belonged to my grandfather who was born in the late 1800's> He lived in Egypt at the time that he probably bought it in the early 1900's. I can find no information on it. Can you help.
It has the smaller second hand at the bottom so I would expect it is somewhere after 1920's. I had a couple of smaller watches like this I posted in another forum and it seemed the second hand was a factor in establishing an approximate age. One of mine was a Gruen the other I forget the name but both had Swiss markings. It turned out that neither was worth the effort of researching in terms of value.
PS: Don Levison was mentioned as a watch collector in the book, "Buying Time". Perhaps researching him would provide some insight.
