    Found these gems at a local shop. They are quite heavy and about 30 inches in length. I assume that they were used at an entryway to a building or as garden statuary.

      Interesting indeed. Surely they would be based on an original item. The hieroglyphics look realistic. Tantalising !!!

      That is how I pictured them in their original location. I know the guy who placed these in the shop, so I'll ask if he has any other info. If he does, I will post here.

      I believe that the hieroglyphs are just on the one side. The pieces are currently at the house that I am moving into shortly. I will check again.
