I showed a collection i had and decided to make a puzzel of the ones that were piled up and added the drinking bowl in the corner there is alot of rims in this piece they all range from different time periods they are not all the same type some have lines in the inside some where just plain and some baked and some unheated there is many types of different thickness and some thin and brittle thats why i have decided to do this project i do have more this is all i could fit in this collection of shards there was a settlement here long long ago the woman made many types of pots and were used for many thinga the thicker ones were for cooking and thin for baskets theres several types of different sizes and forms as the biggest one i have is a storage pot i have many different colors and different types of designs and the corn stamped type as well i enjoyed what i done and made history by researching the creek and seeing the banks and looking for the artifacts that were left and putting the piece of history to gether and having these finds is a history that is being put together and making new history of the life of how people lived and survived the pottery shards are bank and water finds these finds are extremely fragile and brittle some of these types dont last long due to the elements and they break and crumble over a periods of time i am glad some chunks are still in one piece not in little pieces that can happen just glad i am able to piece these finds in a setting to show the types that are out here these are all from this town of bethania nc from the muddy creek of the past 5 years and counting the is more to find i am still finding more of the lost past here in bethania in North Carolina
