I bought this basket and I have no idea what it is from. Can someone help me? Does anyone recognize this basket? I would like to identify that ! Thank you!

This is a Yekuana basket, from the Amazon region of Venezuela. The distinctive flared shape identifies it as a "wiwa" or vase-shaped basket woven by the women of the tribe. Men weave a different style basket.

If you want to confirm, they are illustrated in "Art of the Basket, Traditional Basketry from Around the World" by Bryan Sentance, and on several web sites.
