(58 items)
A working Durand lamp with a 1708 vase of blue over crystal with opal and blue Peacock Feather decoration as the base. This also was decorated floral & vine cutting near the shoulder. It is mounted with the original silver plated hardware, the top is adjustable. An example is shown in Meschi's book, Fig. 498 on pg. 109. Likely made in the late 1920s but definitely between 1924-31.
We acquired this in late 2016. We replaced the plastic cord that is was wired with when we got it with period silk wrapped cord and an inline switch so we didn't have to use the pull switches on the sockets which are the originals.
Maximum height to top of the finial when fully extended: 24-1/2" (62.2 cm)
