I got this super cute cuckoo clock today. I just got him hung. I really don't know the age of this. Guessing its definitely vintage. Learning as I go. It's keeping time good. My only issue is the chimes is off. Ther hour is only one chime, the half hour is the hour chime. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks, for any help.
The chimes are Cuckoo maybe that's why they call it a Cuckoo clock??? Just kidding!!! Couldn't help myself!!!

Hello Lamplover78,
Try removing the weights and moving the hands to the hour just struck and then replace the hands. With the weights removed, the movement can't strike again until they are hung again.
Good luck,
Bruce
I have one that I have been researching on and off as I have time. Opening the trap door in the back you should be able to see the clock works. They will be stamped. From the stamp I have learned that mine is actually German works produced between 1951 and 1955. At this point I am working on two other names and numbers stamped in the metal where it is difficult to see.
Thank you all for your comments. I have fixed the problem of the time. I took the hands off and set them at the correct hour. But now am having issues of it continuing to run. It is stopping after awhile. Maybe the hands are too tight? Or it's not level? Any how I will open the back and see what else I can find. Thank you!
