I have never seen nor heard of this doll before. The only information I have is what came with the almost complete doll. The letter from the company selling the doll(s) is "Family Merchant Company" based out of a residence in NY. The patterns that one outfit has been cut out and the pieces remain in the envelope is made by "Suntex Corp." also based out of NY is 1953. A young girl by the name of "Shirley Ericson" wrote on the top of the original box, "Magic Doll belonges to..." and then her name. Cute how she misspells "belongs". She also wrote the name "Betty" on the back of the doll. The box is stamped "PINK" with a number I am unable to read. The envelope where the cut-out outfit pieces are kept was most likely from her parents as the envelope is postmarked in 1954 and is addressed to "C.V. Ericson". Shirley also wrote that it was from S. Dakota and the envelope states the same. It would appear that this company or companies made other dolls with different names and outfits.
That is all I know. Anything else would help. I am unable to find another one anywhere. Is it that rare or am I missing something like the true name, etc. Please help.
