Rattletrap
(918 items)
We found this antique 50s circus mini trackless train for sale in a local publication and quickly bought it for the Lakeside Museum. It’s a gas powered rubber tired train that can hold 12 children passengers. It obviously needs a little tlc and paint. This is something I have always wanted for our own children to give them rides up and down our short dead end street. Now it will be grandkids and their friends that get to ride. This train is a copy of the Union Pacific E-8 and E-9 from what I see. Those were made in the early 50s.
Countless hours of fun (and hard labour) awaites you in the restoration.
Golgotha,
U got the countless hours right. U forgot the countless dollars part:(:(
Oh WOW, what a *fun* find Rattletrap -- congrats on a most-excellent acquisition!!
If I do ever get lucky enough to visit Provo/Lakeside myself, ya know I'm gonna want to take a ride on that thing... ;-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

All Aboard !!!
Trey,
Thx. You’re always a big supporter of my nonsensical collecting.
I want one of these for my kids :) They would love it !!!
Trey,
I’m hoping you’ll bring your kids and come ride in ours after we get it up,and going. It looks like the engine is shot and I’m looking for a replacement, so don’t come yet.
