SANTANA 'LOTUS'

Santana! This 3 record set was recorded at the Osaka K?sei Nenkin Kaikan, Osaka, Japan in July 1973. It was during their tour for the 'Caravanserai' album. At first only released in Japan in 1974 then a year or so later in Europe then America. Recorded in Quadrophonic sound, it sounds incredible. It is a wonderful album with many fold out inserts creating a collage of beautiful pics. I have seen them at least 15 times in the past 40 yrs. Always a treat to see such an incredible musician and his band. Carlos Santana has had many different musicians play with him over the decades. I have posted before about two of his original members, Greg Rollie and Neal Schon who later went on to form the prog rock band Journey, Then went more mainstream after 3 albums with the addition of Steve Perry on vocals.
