I found this Madame Alexander Hand Puppet with a Composite Head, at an Estate Sale over 8yrs. ago, his name is Charles "Chef", and I searched back then, but couldn't find much about it. Yesterday I was looking through one of our Book Shelves, where this Puppet has been, on his Stand, for about 6yrs. and thought I should search again for Madame Alexander Puppets, and I found a little more information about them, but mainly I found a post on CW from 5yrs. ago, and decided to post "Chef" here also! :^D When I got him, he had the Wooden Stand that I still keep, and photographed him on. These Hand Puppets were made starting in the 1920's - 1940's but Madame Alexander Dolls and Puppets are still made Today.
The Jersey Knit Robe that "Chef" is dressed in, has a little spot on it but in good condition, but the little Leather Mitt Hands are a bit stiff. He has a White cotton Scarf and a Tag on the back that reads: [ Charles "Chef" PUPPET by Madame Alexander N.Y.U.S.A. All Rights Reserved ] The hand painted Composite Head is 3 1/2" and with the Robe the Puppet is 10 1/2", but made for someone with a smaller Hand than me! :^D
This is a link to the Site that I found with information about Madame Alexander Dolls, and I'll post it in Comments also:

Thank you for looking, all comments and information on this Puppet, are welcome! :^)

Cool! This gave me a flashback, but the good kind. When I was young, puppets were a "thing" and my brother and I had several. I think they were of the seven dwarfs.

Those might have been Madame Alexander Puppets Kevin, I saw some when I was searching for "Chef". I had a Marionette Puppet, that my Sister got in Mexico, and other rubber Head Hand-Puppets, that we played with when we were young, I liked waving the hands, and then hiding the puppet face in them! :^D
      Thanks for your comment! :^)

Thank you both for the love that you gave, Kevin, and foseatme! :^)

Great find Bill, as a little girl the Madame Alexander dolls were so varied and top of the line (and super expensive, I only had a couple), but I never knew she made puppets. Thanks for a super post

Thank you Jenni, for the super comment! :^D
On the 5yrs old post, Manikin said that Tony Sarg made the marionettes for Madame Alexander and were often used for plays like Alice in Wonderland and some Disney shows. His name may appear on back of their necks . The tag is the Character . Date around 1030's.
I don't know if Sarg made the Puppet heads, or if they were made by the Madame Alexander, something that I'd like to find out. There's no Tony Sarg on the neck of "Chef".

Thank you for the love clicks that you gave, Kevin(vetraio), Jenni, and Robert, it's appreciated! :^)
