    Hi everyone,
What looks like a pretty standard spatter glass bowl turns out to light up under UV.
It appears to be the white spots which glow, a colour I've not come across before that has Uranium, in fact it's colours don't really hint at it at all.
It's 10cm high and 10cm at its widest.

Looks like Murano Art Glass Vase, Made in Italy by Maestri Vetrai Azzurra. ..is just my guess...

Yes, I had some nice surprises when I got my first UV light, as quite a few white vases in my collection glowed green. I also found that certain opaque white glass buttons & beads (mostly Czech 1920s - 30s era) glow as well.
To me this vase looks more Czech than Murano...

Hi Craig, me too :) and this was totally unexpected. I didn't even consider checking it. I found out by accident while using the light for something else and this lit up in the background.

Hi Ivonne, thank you. I thought it was nice but just another bowl and almost didn't get it, but very glad I did now :)

Hi Findings, I hadn't considered it could be Italian. The wear to the base suggest it has some age.

Hi IronLace, Thank you. This is the first white uranium glass I've come across. I would've guessed Czech too. The cut rim I thought was a guide to it being Czech. To my eye it has that look, very similar to Welz and other Czech glass I have.

I would certainly agree that it looks like Czech production. Great piece!!

Hi MALKEY, Great to hear from you! I hope you're keeping well. Thank you. What I thought was a nice but fairly mundane buy turned out to be magical.
