I've been searching for some time who was a maker and finally have found a vase made of very similar glass attributed to Josef Riedel.I know,of course it's not enough to claim that mine is Riedel's too,but also a style of painting on it reflects his Art Nouveau decors.
The only thing that makes me think what is wrong is the enameling. Why the filling of gold contours is so careless?Made in a hurry?Someone tried to improve a shabby painting? And why I'm more curious about the painting than who made the vase?
Very cool vase, but I have no idea who made it. The enamel work around the neck and down is very reminiscent of Riedel work. Hopefully someone will know.
It would be interesting if we knew. This kind of marble glass isn't so often seen,I think.
Two ways of decorating then, renedijkstra ?Thanks for the clue.
Nice vase. Interesting unusual shape. I agree that it could be Riedel, but I would not rule out the possibility of Rindskopf. What color is the base glass? It is also possible that the painting was made by a refinery.
The base colour of glass is burgundy. The vase is rather light and the glass isn't thick.
Thank you for the loves.I appreciate all the comments too.
