This figurine was labeled in masking tape on the bottom: Mary Todd Lincoln, Greenfield Estate ‘68, HM, cast. Is it a candle holder?
I do not know it to be Staffordshire but I thought Staffordshire collectors might know what it is. I know nothing about ceramic figures, and I wonder who the maker of this figurine was, and if the masking tape labels on the bottom might have been accurate.
I can’t find anything like it, (half clothed) outside of a meerschaum pipe c.1860s. The marks are an x, a debossed 67, and I can make out hand scribed numbers 887.
I just thought it was quite interesting and would like to know more.

Do I see a bare foot? Possibly she has just finished a bath? Maybe that’s a towel in her hand? It’s certainly odd, especially if it’s meant to portray Mrs Lincoln!

Welcome to CW Mtmgoo! :^D In the 2nd photo, it looks like something is missing, that was connected to the base by her foot, and to the top of the wall, and the top container. Could it have been a Night Light, to be seen from the front, which would be her left side, and the bulb would be in the small area behind her? Or something like that! Just a thought! :^)
