Could anyone tell me anything about these small blue and white cups? One when held up to the light is almost see through while the other you cannot. Thank you.

They could be old! If you can see through the cup it is porcelain, the other could be earthenware. They look to be hand painted too. I can’t work out if they are Chinese or English. Chinese porcelain tends to have a bluish tinge to it whereas early English porcelain tends to be whiter and warmer to the touch.(soft paste porcelain). Not much help really, but I collect cups and saucers, and still get age etc wrong.
Thank you for your comments. Although they look like a pair I wondered why one seems more dense than the other.
To answer your question, each cup is made from a different material: china/porcelain/bisque/chalk ware/clay/earthenware etc. etc.
Each cup, though looking the same, has their own different patterns. The gold rim around the base of each, is in a different place for example. They could well have been made in the same factory.
