My Wife's late mother was very talented!!! She enjoyed Tole Painting and Needlepoint!!! She repainted one chair and left the other one as is.
There's a chalk signature on both chairs. Plank Seats!! One I can read L. Paigo maybe the worker that put it together?? Anyone now about what age they are???
Stuff
There was a cabinet and furniture maker named Piago in East Greenbush, NY years ago but I don't think there was any connection with Hitchcock. Original Hitchcock chairs would have "L. Hitchcock, Hitchcocks-ville, Conn. Warranted." stenciled on the chair.
Thank you fhrjr2 for the info!!! I'll take a "Back Seat" and check it out. We have a couple of the wife's late Mother's Bar Harbor's Wicker chairs!! Great Pieces!!! Put them up soon.
What's the difference from a Mainer and a Maniac???
A Mainer spends one Winter in Maine a Maniac spends another One!!!
Great Country!!!
Merry Christmas!!

Stuff An old man lived on the Maine - New Hampshire border. The state did a survey of the state line. They told the old man the line runs behind his house and not in front as previously thought. The old man danced with joy and yelled, Thank God I couldn't have taken another Maine winter.
We had "Men from Maine" Jokes here til now!! Sad but both retired from Radio!!!
Will try to remember them!!!
Efuss called Dr. Cider and said my Son Rufus swallowed my condom!!! Doctor C said I'll be right over!!! Efuss called back and said don't worry I found another one in my Sock Draw!!!

i use the name 'Hitchcock Chair' as the entire genre of these chairs - not necessarily as an 'authentic Hitchcock Chair'.
