Vintage Firefighting Reel and Hose

I just picked this up from a collector's estate and couldn't wait to display it (as well as the little extinguisher in the bottom left of the pic). If you know the approximate age or what the BOE on the nozzle refers to, I'd appreciate your expertise. On a side note, it didn't even occur to me to unreel the hose before putting it up; would've made the job a helluva lot easier. Duh!
