Bought this desk from an antique store. The owner said the desk was from the 1920's but there is no manufacturer stamp. Only a "no. 33" stamped beneath the center drawer.

Does anyone know where or when this desk was made?

Identical to mine - although I thought my hardware had been changed. Could you send me a close up pic of the hardware? Maybe I can find some similar. Where did you purchase it? I am in Oregon. My husband just pointed out that mine has a solid back - the knee space doesn't go all the way through. I called it an executive desk?

Sure, I updated the post with 2 hardware pictures. I have no idea if mine is original hardware or not. They seem very unique so it may be possible that they are.

Yes, I noticed mine goes all the way through, which makes me think mine is a partners desk (it's the right size?). I bought mine in NYC (UWS) for $600. I believe the antique shop bought it at an estate sale in the city. I'm not sure if I overpaid but I really love the style. Do you mind sharing where yours may have come from and the price?

It is called a partners desk when there are drawers on both sides of the desk, if not it is simply called a desk !~

I found it on Craigs list and paid $250 and it included an oak office chair and stool with original leather. It was a great find for me! Thanks for the additional photos. Mine is not a partners desk. it only has drawers on one side and the back is solid and trimmed out like the front and sides. The pulls on mine appear that they were originally round from the scuff type marks around them, like the lower one in your pic. The ones on it now are dark wood that matches the mahogany and they look good, but have always wondered if they were replaced. It is interesting that the lock on yours is a Yale and mine is an Eagle. I would love to find out who made it!
