1943 lane cedar chest (part 2 of 3)

This is the cedar chest at its current state. I have got most of the paint off, other than the molding pieces. I spray painted the underside in black and duct taped the serial number and aroma sealer. I applied some natural stain by minwax just to the top and front to see how it would look. I noticed there is one spot where I over sanded and have no idea how to repair without paying someone to do it. Also, there is a circular burn mark on the right side, this is where my great grandfather used to put his coffee cup when the chest was at the foot of their bed. They have passed away unfortunately, but hopefully the chest will hold up to reach 100. And stay in our family for generations.
