I’m looking to find out some history on this st Christopher medal I’ve had for around 15 years now.
I’m looking to see if anyone can help me with dates, where it was made and who the jeweller was? I’ve tried looking and if I’m honest I have no idea how to research this

    Thanks in advance

Hello, if you could provide a close-up of the hallmarks on the back, that would help a lot. Otherwise, you should be able to look up the information yourself on this site:

      http://www.silvercollection.it/englishsilvermarksXG.html

Looks like it's English sterling, at least! That's a good start!

The lion is the London Assay office where the silver is verified. The S indicates the year, but will need a clear picture of the second symbol to be able to date it correctly. Is it a Leopard's head? - which is the mark of origin (the leopard's head is London). If it is London it looks like the S for the year 1973. http://www.silvercollection.it/tavola514bis.jpg I haven't been able to find a London silversmith with the initial GSH.
