Spread wing eagle is Civil Air Patrol
The George VI is not WW I. His father was on the throne for that. The medal gives his title as King of all Great Britain and Emperor of India, so it would date from before Indian independence. Beside the medal is a Canadian pin (three maple leaves).
What is civil air patrol and also other comment so does the medal make it world war 2

The swords on the German one means military. Without swords would be civilian merit award.
