Hi
Just posting this because I like it.... In a wierd sort of way! I found it rolled up in a cardboard tube in a second hand shop.
It took me while to find some information on it... The last photograph shows that it was used as a poster advertising an exhibition in 1971. (the advertising information is not on my copy.... but mine is actually a screen print, signed in pencil by the artist)
If there are any Karel Appel fans out there that knows the actual name of the painting ..I would be very interested to know!
regards
Paul

I love this a lot !!!
What I could find was that this work is called Two Faces but if you google this title there are different works of Karel Appel that have the same title. So I'm not sure that Two Faces is the real title of this work.
Hi kunst, on your advice, I searched for "Two Faces" and indeed did find a couple of web sites with the same image.... so many thanks for that!
Thinking about it, it was an obvious search choice - Mr Appel clearly liked to keep things simple!
regards
Paul
