Loetz Candia Craquele m. Creta Schlange, st PN II-635, ca. 1900

This is the first time I've seen candia craquele with an applied serpent. The combination of candia craquele and creta applications is mentioned in a few PNs in 1900 (see, for example, PN II-450). The shape and size are the same as PN II-635 (see last photo). The paper pattern for II-635 indicates that the shape was also made for an unknown client with commission number 790, the PN analog is PN 790/7. It is possible that this was one of the commissioned decors, as it is not listed under II-635. I like how Loetz puts extra twists in the applied serpent so that it appears more natural and loosely wrapped around the vase.
