As these items are not jewelry or cutlery/serving pieces, or pocket watches, should we leave the patinia 'as is' (as you would in bronze statuaries) on these figurines or keep them polished, as they are silver plated? I know alot more about keeping the finished 'as is' on my wooden items. Thanks fo any advice.

      These look like Dansk designs!!

Yes, your right. They are Dansk, Gunnar Cyren designed, made in Japan. We've had them for over 40 years. Thought we had them packed air tight, but found out different. Just need to know if we should - or should - not polish them. Is this 'patina' that should stay on, or 'tarnish' that should come off. Brought them out to show the grandkids because of the upcoming Dr. Doolittle movie!

Such beautiful silver animals! Even if left alone I'm sure the grandkids will love them esp after the new Dr Dolittle comes out, can't wait to see that one myself :)

So long as there is no corrosion, just patina, if they were mine, I would leave them as is and just monitor them.
