I love Victorian furniture, so when I saw this at our local thrift store, I was intrigued. I remember seeing one of these years ago and I believe they were made in the 1970's. Most of it seems to be real wood (but, I think some of it is manufactured wood). It has three stained glass panels (one on top and one on each side). It is lighted from behind the top stained glass panel by two aquarium bulbs. It has a beveled mirror in the middle and the top lid lifts up to reveal a small storage compartment. The storage compartment lid is stopped by a chain so that the lid doesn't hit the mirror. Of course, I would prefer to have an original Victorian Hall tree, but I thought this was cute! I did a search on the web, but couldn't find one like it. Does anyone know who made these? It was only $74, so I thought, why not. I wasn't out of too much money for a cute piece. The condition is pretty good. No chips or cracks in the glass.
