About 6” long, 3-4” High, 3” Wide. It is Tin soldered together. Markings are only on one side (see picture) has 2 hooks with corks on end that have a groove made in them. First and Second (left to right) are the same depth and third one is about a 1/2-1” deeper.
This still has me wondering ! Only thing I can think of even close is like a porous ceramic balls on a rod, like this, that was used to sprinkle kerosene on wood to help light it. That doesn't require 3 holes.
It completely puzzles me, too. Along Rob's line of thought, I wonder if it coulda been part of some kinda fuel tank or pump calibration equipment, maybe part of a 'viscosity meter scale' (totally made up term on my part) or something, to otherwise test whether the "ETHYL" gas was indeed betterer than the "REGULAR" gas... ??
