Picked up this art deco slip shade chandelier several months ago. Been looking for one for our living room for about 10 years. Our house was built in 1939 and has some art deco details to it, like 3 step mold and art deco grates on the fireplace. Just got around to rewiring and hanging it. It really looks great, and helps set off the rest of our art deco antiques. Only has one flaw, one shade is broken off at the bottom. It doesn't show but I would still like to replace it, if I can ever find another. It is a consolidated glass slip shade.
We collect figural lighting from this period. Fabulous Chandelier.... Nice find.
Thanks Welzebub, we also collect figural deco lighting. you can check out some of our other post to see some. Here is one, https://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/16015-art-deco-ladies-and-maxfield-parrish
That's really nice. Glad it has found a contemporary and loving residence.
oldhouselights.com is an online source to check for fixtures and shades; tho' likely a long shot to find an exact match...
Quite beautiful !~
racer4four, Thanks for the kind comments.
Thanks TallCakes, I did check oldhouselights, and came up empty. It is going to be a long shot, but I am patient.
Thanks PhilDMorris!
