Here is a rare toy model hot air engine from a well known toymaker from the turn of the century. He made model engines and toys from the 1890's until I don't know when. His factory was in Nuremberg Germany, and his name was Ernst Plank.
It works extremely well on a little alcohol burner.
Ernst Plank also made a video machine like the ones that you saw in penny arcades (if you are old enough to remember penny arcades).
It was called a "praxinoscope", and you can see it in the #4 photo being powered by a small hot air engine like the one posted here.
PS. again, I don't know the proper category to place this post, so I will post it in Arcade games. Does anybody else have this problem or is it just me?
It is tricky to find the right category at times. I use the search feature to find what similar items to find the right category. Don't think there are others like these but I would go for Toys.
right you are fortapache, I dever even saw the search Q.
It does refer you to toys..... thanks
