Veteran Badges, and Keepsakes from Civil War 81st New York Regiment

These Veteran Badges, and keepsakes belonged to Pvt. Valentine La Point. who fought with
the 81st New York regiment in the American Civil War. Val, as he was called lost most of one leg
at the 1864 battle of Cold Harbor. But he lived until 1913, and his collection of Civil War veteran's
items was sold by his family at auction just a few years ago.
