This is a very nice set, modern production late 20th century for the tourist and export trade. The silk like material on the case was a tradition for the Chinese, for export items, they always made an effort with presentation.
The tiles are plastic, and show the real traditional images of the game Mahjong. I also enjoy playing it on internet sites.
The antique sort of games were kept in a 4 drawer wooden chest, and some had tiles made with ivory or bone. We cant value your set here on CW. Thanks for posting.
