    This too was inherited. Feels heavy for its size. Wooden handle doesn't look like it belongs or like it was refurbished. Also looks like there is some etching on the blade. I'm curious to find out if the corrosion could be removed with out damaging the details???

      Apply light oil generously and use bronze or aluminium wool.

      This is what I use for cleaning things like this:

      I've worn out bronze wool pads trying to clean up rusty guns that this Frontier pad cleaned up in seconds or minutes. It does not remove bluing or patina. Great product.

      I'm sure I can't get that where I live. maybe when I'm up in the States for my next heart attack. LOL !!
