    I was given this old steamer trunk. Can anybody tell me anything about it? I don't think it is worth much. It is primarily wood on the inside and sheet metal with wood trim on the outside.

      Your trunk is from around mid 1880's to late 1890's very common and inexpensive trunk that was made by many trunk makers at the time, without a label impossible to say who the maker was, this trunk probably never had a label in it which was not uncommon, metal handles are not original and you are correct that it is not worth much.

      Thanks so much. We have a log cabin from that era that we are trying to restore. This ought to make pretty good decor for it, even if it isn't very collectible.
