This is from the Barrett-Jackson auction series. The 1:1 version of this sold for $495,000 which is a fair amount.
The 1968-1969 Corvettes were a favorite of mine when I was a kid and still a favorite now. It would be fun to drive one all along Route 66. Also this blue color was may favorite then too.
The 1:1 version had a 427 cubic inch engine that put out 430 horsepower. Plus several other fine features making it worth close to half a mil today.
Once again this is a finely detailed model. It even has silver painted keyholes on the doors. I also picked up these nifty stackable cubes for displaying the cars. These come with various backgrounds and bases. I will post more of them later.
Super car & love this blue
Blue interior too!
Nifty cubes for sure.
My boss has a 69 stingray with built engine. I think it's a 350. But unfortunately it has been sitting motionless in his garage for years.
Thank you very much Newfld.
And thank you very much racer4four.
Thank you very much Nicefice. I would be happy with a 350. Better chance to make it across the desert.
Thank you very much iggy. Have him send it to me.
Thank you very much WesternPA-Collector. I think I would rather have something I could drive. But a car like this needs to be driven.
