This was inherited by my grandfather. My grandfather was head kernel during world war 2 and was stationed in Thailand and Paris. When he and family moved to the states he resided in the ladue, Missouri. I received this painting framed and matted. I am hoping that someone may know who the artist is that painted this beautiful painting. Any information is welcome.
Looks like SE Asia, to me. I lived in Thailand for over a year and this is reminiscent of a harbor or canal scene. There were many street artists who sold to tourists, especially in places like Bangkok. Here is an article about a Thai artist named Kamol:

It might be a little before his time, but it is a place to start....
Wow, thank you for this info on artist Kamol. It is mentioned in article that Kamol resides in Arizona. After my Grandfather and family left Thailand, they ended up in Missouri. However, they did also reside in Arizona . As My mother went to Arizona State University. So, it may well be the artist you mentioned who painted this. How would I confirm that?
What about asking him:

Thank you kp.kunst. I guess I could ask him. I will try to call or write a letter. I don’t see an email posted on his site. That would be wild if he responded.
