Does anyone know anything about old guns? Found this under my grandpa's bed while we were looking for other guns that we knew were there. He passed away yesterday and nobody else has any idea where this might have came from. My dad tasked me with finding out what it is. Thanks for helping!!

Hello: I don't know exactly what you have, but if i had to describe it to a blind person, i would say it is a hammerless, folding trigger revolver. Measure the barrel opening, and you will have the caliber to add to that description. My guess is vintage 1930's-1940's ers, and maybe belgium made. Hope this helps you. PS: Take to Gunsmith for appraisal.

Thank you, frisco. I appreciate it. And I almost feel like I should point out that I was directed by my grandpa to get the guns from under his bed to give to certain family members. When I reread what I wrote I kind of sounded like I couldn't wait to get my hands on these- but none of them are for me. I'm just doing what I was told to do. And this little one must have been forgotten about because he never mentioned it being there. But you gave me a good starting point. Does the inscription on the barrel stand for Royal Airforce? There's a crown with an R under it, with a star under that, with AF at the bottom.

Too modern for me, but those aren't Belgie proof marks.
