    I need help identifying the date when this helmet could of been made or created. This helmet comes from a very old department which was founded in 1883. Any info is much appreciated. I really need some dates on this piece. Thanks.

    Also this piece is a Cairns and Brothers helmet.

      it looks like the date was july 1897 and this is great helmet!!

      sorry july of 1888 was the last date of manufactured!
