A proper bucket sized bucket about 10" tall. Generally buckets tends to just be steel but this one is graniteware/enamel coated. Generally the reason for the coating is to keep it easy to clean. It is a sort of non-stick coating. Usually a bucket is just for carrying water thus not graniteware. But anyway this one is graniteware. In the last photo it is next to a slop pot. A slop pot is used for human waste. The shape is different to keep the slop in the pot. There are graniteware berry pots for berry picking but they are much smaller and are pails. Pails pale compared to buckets.
OK I don't have a whole lot to say about this. Just don't kick it as that is very dangerous.
Useful items to have, slop pots, after dark and with the outhouse so far away! Emptying it the next morning was necessary and no fun at all.
I got a laugh from your write-up.... :^D
