Usually I don't like stone chips jewellery. I have passed on many and never really understood why so many were made. This one, however, somehow spoke to me. The bracelet is in perfect condition. It is wide and heavy and all stones are present. There are no marks.
I am a little confused about the date of this bracelet. I read that stone chip jewellery was fashionable in the 1970's. Looking at the metal setting, I am reminded of jewellery of the 50's or 60's.
Thanks for looking:)
Many thanks for the love, aura:)
Beautiful bracelet, I love the filigree and the adventurine chips are rather lovely, does remind me of a 60s-70s piece when they used to wear drapy stuff like caftans
Newfld and Ms.CrystalShip, thanks so much for your kind comments. I don't own a caftan but I am seriously consider getting one! I can see myself wearing one, sitting in the backyard drinking a tee (or something a little stronger) but I will have to wait until it gets a bit warmer in Canada :)
Freiheit that is awesome!
It looks like it might tire your arm holding it up but boy, so much work, and such a great design.
Well found and so suitable it’s now yours.
Gorgeous piece! I can see how it speaks to you! I honestly don’t know much about it, but it looks very old, roaring 20’s possibly...very titanic.
Racer4four, thanks for your comment. It is a big piece - just the way I like it:)
Kate77, thanks so much for your comment. The bracelet does look old. I think the the style was revived in the fifties or so. Too bad the bracelet is not marked.
Thanks so much for loving my bracelet,
