Hi, I wish I could tell you about these, however, I picked them up by a fluke you could say and know very little about them. I have a few more, they are all signed/stamped. They are all beautiful, but I would love to know more about them, if anyone can provide me information, I would appreciate it. These two pieces both have a pearl finish. I thought it was really interesting that the picture of the girl on the saucer is off the center. Not sure why that is either.
I don't know who or when they were made, but the Copenhagen souvenir cup with the Little Mermaid is adorable!!
I thoroughly agree, I don't know when it was made either. It has a W with a straight line and squiggly line over the straight line. The really unique thing about it is on the saucer the girl is off center, which I thought was really interesting, but, I don't know anything about that either. I did list them on craigslist.oc
It may not be a flaw. It could be made that way so you can see the little mermaid when displaying the cup. If you put the plate on a display holder, and the cup right in front of it, you can just see the top half of the plate. Since this is a souvenir, and meant for display, that might just explain the position of the decoration.
...It could even have come with it's own display thingy from the beginning
